Jim Carroll Leaves Oz – Day 1 (The Basement)   Leave a comment

Friday, 19 October, 2012

Oh no, I’m well behind on my blog updates, so I’ve decided just to post the pictures with a brief commentary for now in the hope that I’ll find the time to compose the full blog entry.

For the past few weeks Jimmy and his daughter, Christina have been on a tour of eastern Australia. Today they returned to Sydney in preparation for Jimmy to fly back home to the UK on Sunday. So I jumped on a coach for the three hour journey up to Sydney, met up with Kerry and Jim’s friend Donald in Darling Harbour and then met with Jimmy and Christina in one of the bars on Darling Harbour, where we ate before moving on to The Basement where we were booked in to watch an INXS Tribute band.

Afterwards, we took a tour of some of the bars and clubs in The Rocks district of Sydney Harbour (I say tour! as we didn’t get into many of them due to the fact that one of our party was extremely drunk, more of which later…).
