Mt. Taylor   Leave a comment

Thursady, 23 February, 2012

While we’ve got Ciara working on a Thursday night (Don’t worry, she keeps all her own wages, Honest!) and before the dark nights draw in, we been trying to take the opportunity to get out and about for a walk. Tonight we left home at six O’clock, drove to the foot of Mt. Taylor and hiked up to the top of the 845 metre hill.

Took us about 35 minutes to get to the top with me requesting a couple of stops on the way up. It’s a fairly steep climb all the way but there’s a concrete pathway most of the way and to my embarrassment a few of the locals were passing me with a hearty hello.

It’s a great view from the top, with a 360 degree panoramic view of Tuggeranong to the south, Woden to the North and the mountain ranges that surround Canberra on all sides.
